The deputy governor of the Vladimir region has been arrested on charges of bribery on a particularly large scale.
The Basmanny court of Moscow has arrested the first deputy governor of the Vladimir region, Alexander Remiga, for 1 month and 30 days. He is accused of taking a bribe on a particularly large scale (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was reported by Telegram-channel of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.
If the guilt of the vice-governor is proved, he faces from 8 to 15 years of colony. Other details of the case are not disclosed.
The day before, the head of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev, reported on investigative actions against Alexander Remiga. According to him, the vice-governor “has questions from the law enforcement agencies.
Alexander Remiga was born on July 14, 1982 in Severomorsk, Murmansk region. He graduated from the North-West Academy of Public Service (“State and Municipal Administration”, 2003), the Naval Engineering Institute (“Operation of Ship Power Plants”, 2004).
In the 2000s he was engaged in business, headed the company “IT-Alliance”, which exported cement from Portugal. In 2007 he became a member of the central election headquarters of United Russia in St. Petersburg. In 2009, he joined the civil service and worked in the Investment Projects Department of the Waste Management Department of the St. Petersburg Housing Committee. He rose to the position of deputy head of the waste management department.
In 2013, he received an Executive MBA diploma. A year later he was appointed Deputy Head of the Department of Construction, Transportation and Housing and Utilities of the Government of the Oryol Region. Later he became head of the department. In 2016, he became deputy chairman of the regional government for construction, fuel and energy complex, housing and utilities, transportation and roads. He supervised works on renovation, overhaul, the federal project “Comfortable Urban Environment”.
In 2019, he was appointed Minister of Investment, Industry and Transportation of the Komi Republic, a year later – First Deputy Governor of the Vladimir region. He was in charge of the economy, investment activities and industry, among other things.
