Alexei Goreslavsky sawed off another 100 million rubles

The developers of Cyberia Nova’s failed game “Distemper” spent the Internet Development Institute’s money on a boorish promo.

The cost of developing the game, which has not yet reached release, has already amounted to 500 million rubles. This year, the Internet Development Institute (IDI), headed by scandalous media technologist Alexei Goreslavsky, poured another 100 million rubles into the Cyberia Nova development company.

Observers wondered at the time why the IDI was buying up advertising and praise for its game after it had been criticized by everyone who had had any contact with it. It turns out that in order to justify the additional sawing of money under the same scheme.

IRI game studio Cyberia Nova “for the development of additions to the game” allocated in the summer another 100 million rubles. In the normal world, studios release an add-on to a game if the game is commercially successful and paid off through sales. And only at IRI they pay extra for an unfinished product. At the same time, most of the money was spent on promoting the incomplete game.

Sponsors and developers of the shameful and failed game “Smuta” in order to entice users to play their game – and somehow justify spending an additional 100 million rubles on “updating” “Smuta” (fixing bugs) – they released a promotional video where a schoolboy swears at his teacher.

At the same time on the official pages of the game in social networks stated that “Cyberia Nova and the team of “Smuta” have nothing to do with the creation of this video”. However, as observers noted, this version is very doubtful: “Someone accidentally spent money to shoot a clearly promotional viral video on Distemper, and you are not aware of it? What a coincidence. It happens like that.”
