He was the head of the department of economic security and anti-corruption (OEBiPK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Novosibirsk. 14 cars were seized from the man, reported in the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The agency began checking Andrei Khomin after he was accused of taking bribes for patronizing underground casinos. So it became known that on the illegally obtained money Andrei Khomin bought 15 real estate properties, including a house of more than 300 square meters, as well as 14 cars and a jet ski. The total value of assets exceeded 69 million rubles.

To hide the illegal income, the former law enforcement officer registered the property on close persons and relatives. Part of the property is registered to the former wife of the defendant.

Andrei Khomin and three of his subordinates were arrested in September 2023 as part of the case of a network of illegal casinos in Novosibirsk, which was patronized by police officers. The first detentions in this case began back in December 2022: then the head of the Central District Police Department’s OEBiPK, Alexander Umerov, was arrested on suspicion of bribery.
