For the third time in a row, the head of the organization became the subject of a criminal case. This time it was an exotic one for his position – about disclosure of state secrets.
The FSB department in Rostov region reported about the initiation of a criminal case against Evgeny Yurkin, the general director of Rostovvodokanal JSC. He was accused of disclosure of state secrets. The man is arrested until August 14, reports “RIA Novosti”.
Mr. Yurkin was detained on June 24. Law enforcers found that the general director sent documents by unclassified mail to the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the region, which contained information classified as a state secret. It is about information about the critical infrastructure of Rostov-on-Don.
Searches were conducted at the place of work and in the house of the defendant. The FSB is checking other employees of the water company who could be involved in crimes.
Evgeny Yurkin became the head of Rostovvodokanal in 2023. The previous general director was accused of abuse of power a year earlier. His predecessor was also jailed for 3.5 years for fraud.
